Blogmas Day 12: Do they know its Christmas?

Christmas Time, is a season of joy and celebration for many, it's an opportunity for people to spend time with their family and friends that they may not typically see. It seems everyone is drinking steaming beverages and gorgeous food and overall just enjoying themselves snuggled up by the fire. But none of this is possible for a lot of people. Last year there were 3'500 people sleeping rough in England and in the USA 1.49 million people were in shelters and 578'000 were on the streets. That means no christmas dinner, drinks or presents for hundreds of thousands in the world and in 2015 it was estimated 1.6 billion people (thats nearly a third of the population) don't have adequate housing. Now I know that for many of you it can be frightening to approach someone on the street or you don't think you can do anything about it. And thats fine, you don't NEED to.
