12 Days of Natsmas: Get ready with me - Christmas Party (10)

Image
I did my face Wednesday night for my friend Christmas Party and thought youd like to know which products I used to achieve this look: In order of application I used: New Look - finishing spray - (I know you're meant to use it at the end but I do it at the beginning aswell as I read an article from a pole dancer saying that's what she does to make her makeup last aalllll night) Seventeen Stay Time Long Wear Primer - It stinks but as long as you apply it quickly before it dries it should last Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation - Its just a nice medium coverage foundation which amount wise has lasted a long time Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - It does the job, great for red pigment but not so great for shielding spots and dark circles - concealer is a tricky one for me Maybelline Fit Me Concealer - This is great for dark circles and does help with spots aswell. Baby Powder - yes I used this as a baking powder - mostly to hide my dark circles even more - It's ...

12 Days of Natsmas: Christmas Cocktails and Mocktails (8)

Image
FUN FACT: I Love mixing drinks and so can regularly be found being to mixologist at the party making a deadly concoction that will make you very drunk, very quickly (mostly because you drink it like water cause it tastes so good and then suffer the consequences later once you realise the strength of it!) So anyway, this blog post is going to be LIT! *cringe* Each of these are equally delicious with or without alcohol, all the recipes listed are with alcohol but if you take away that it can still be enjoyed soberly. I cannot take credit for all of these at all as most are recipes taken from else where and then edited for clarification and general accessibility. If you make any of them ... sorry. Side note - add ice to all of these as it just makes it better - even if it is a little cold for winter First up is one I have forgotten the name of and so shall be called "Rouge Reindeer" for some Christmas cheer. a sliced orange  30 ml - cream of coconut 450 ml - cra...

Image
You know what? This may be my favourite topic to talk about. Who am I kidding THIS IS THE BEST TOPIC TO BLOG ABOUT! Yes that's right FOOOOOOODDDDD!!! Today I will giving you a list of my top picks for Christmas nibbles and meals. Some will be branded whereas others are more general foods (this could even be a hint to everyone out there looking at what to get me for Christmas!) To start off with it what Christmas is made of for me. Since discovering these a few years ago, I have fallen in love. They are paired perfect with a cup of tea, adding to your daily calorie intake in no time. These are the "Favourina Spiced Biscuits" you can find at Lidl for a measly £1.39. they taste absolutely glorious and I've already been through a whole pack this Christmas! They are a perfect size and have festive cut outs on them - beautiful! Click here to see Next up is a more general one which I often eat all year round (on a sunday - hint hint), but are extra special in winte...

12 Days of Natsmas: Top 10 Christmas Movies (6)

Image
After yesterdays Shambles of a blog post I am very happy to have a more relaxing article to write you. Today i will be sharing my pick of the top 10 Christmas films. I must add that i have only included the well known ones as I have seem hundreds of little known ones (thanks to Channel 5) and to be honest, they all share the same story line: Girl loses Christmas spirit, finds it in a man. Don't get me wrong, I love them and do entirely enjoy them but...I mean... they could mix it up a bit. I have actually just returned from a Carol Service which was lovely and has made me feel all warm inside so I am officially ready for Christmas (although I will be praying that my mums Christmas present arrives on time!) Anyway, let us begin, I have decided to order the following most popular Christmas films from that I like most to least: Elf, Home Alone, It's a Wonderful Life, Love Actually, The Polar Express, White Christmas, The Muppets Christmas Carol, The Grinch, Jingle All The Way...

12 Days of Natsmas: Christmas outfits for all occasions (5)

Image
Hello my dears, Today we shall be delving into the fortress that is my Wardrobe where I shall select for you a range of outfits for the christmas period, suitable for a range of occasions; formal, party, work and casual. Be warned: I am not a model, I do not have a decent camera phone so used my semi decent camera that is having an off day annoyingly, so...yeah... Up First is our "out out" attire which is this little sequin dress that I wore to a New Years Eve party last year, I think it embodies this time of year and all the celebration it brings, because, lets be honest...you can never have too much glitter and sparkle! This gorgeous dress is originally from New Look and I bought it to begin with to wear to my prom after party, so it does hold a lot of good memories. Next we have this lil outfit which is probably one of my favourite looks in this collections of pics. After seeing a picture on pinterest ages ago i've been looking for an enti...

12 Days of Natsmas: Christmas Present Ideas (4)

I am writing this whilst watching "The Holiday" and Jude Law just said 'You're lovely' to Cameron Diaz, so basically...im very happy right now! But anyway on with todays post, and what a complex one I have for you today. It's something we get worry about every year, so I thought that if I told you mine for the year, they may inspire you. But first I must say, you probably tell yourself every year, but try to get them done as early as you can, cause IT JUST MAKES IT EASIER!!! But anyway, I wont judge. We're all friends here. So let us start with the REAL head of my house hold, me mamma. This year she actually chose her own Christmas present (though, i dont think she remembers!) a few months ago, which was a bamboo wind chime. This particular one was from The Range (an AMAZING homewear shop we have in the UK). Unfortunately, that particular one is now out of stock. However I found an equally pretty one on the fantastic world of ebay which better come in...

12 Days of Natsmas: How to Survive Awkward Christmas Moments (3)

Image
This may be the most important post you read this Christmas so, don't stop... you have been warned. Hello Darlings, Today I will be guiding you on how to get out of life's most awkward Christmas moments, because lets facts it, it's a sticky time of year, awkwardness lurks at every Christmas tree filled corner. So I shall waste no time at all because some of these may have occurred already: 1) PRESENTS This has it's own section because SOOOOO much can go wrong with presents, it's bad enough picking them out for everyone else, but you forget the horror of having to open them in front of everyone else. The First one is opening a present, you absolutely hate, like literally does this person even know you? What is it? What is that? What does it do? I can't even! But little do you know, whilst these questions are rushing through your head, your face is reacting to them, meaning that everyone can see EXACTLY WHAT YOU THINK OF THAT VERY PRECIOUS ARTICLE YOU HA...

Blogmas Day 24: Introducing My favourite Being

Image
OMG ITS CHRISTMAS EVE!!! HOW?!?! My, the time has flown, It is now the night before Christmas (apart from there is a lot of stirring in my house at the moment). Today as it's a very special night I wanted to introduce you to someone very, very special to me... My Dog, Cookie: Yeah alright, I can already tell there's going to be a split between the disappointed (those who thought id actually got a boyfriend LOL) and the pleasantly surprised (the dog lovers). I just thought that as Christmas is a time of love you might want to meet the person...well animal I love. I cannot express how much she means to me but she is my equivalent to a daughter. I treat like the baby I never had (I don't plan on having for a long, long time - before questions start being asked) and love her to bits. So Im basically just gonna tell you a little bit about her. She was Born in September 2011 *Cue adorable puppy photo* (Thats my nan by the way, who is an absolute legend!) S...

Blogmas Day 19: My Christmas Day Outfit

Image
I AM THE WORST BLOGGER IN THE WORLD!!! ffs I missed it again, I am so, so sorry about the catasrphie which is Blogmas 2016. I dont know what's happened, it all started off so well. My excuse for last night is, I forgot about it all day and then when I went out with my friends for a mini xmas quiz and party I suddenly remembered and asked my blogger friend (Amelia - http://swiftbooks13.blogspot.com/) to take apicture of what I was wearing as a little: what to wear at Christmas guide, nut then I proceeded to get a fair amount of alcohol in my system and well... the rest is history. So that is what I will do right now and we're all gonna have to try to imagine that this blogpost went up yesterday, okay? On the upside, I did get round to filming a cheeky Vlog yesterday of a christmas Q and A whilst wrapping type thing. It may never see the light of day (YouTube) because im pretty sure what I filmed was a load of Sh**, but oh well. Hello Friends today ( ;-) ) I am going to be sha...

Blogmas Day 16: What Christmas means to me?

Okay so I may have accidentally skipped at day...But come on it's my first time, everyone makes mistakes (cheeky ;-) )! But to make it up to you I have uploaded a video to NatsChatsTV (my YouTube Channel for those who don't know) where I showed you a quick summary of The 1975 show I went to last night. IT WAS AMAZING! Although it was the reason I didn't upload a blog post. But just think instead of writing something I gave you something which requires much less effort (on your part at least) all you have to do is watch a video to find out what I was up to instead of reading a horrifically spelt blog. But anyway moving onto today's Blogmas I though I'd take advice from my old pal Stevie Wonder and tell you "what Christmas means to me". For many it's a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ (It is a religious holiday dont forget) but I feel like it has evolved from the original meaning. To be it is now an opportunity to meet with all my family a...

Blogmas Day 14: How To: Christmas Nail Art

Image
Right before I start this can I just get one thing straight, I am not a beauty blogger or a nail artist and I am genuinely shocking at painting my own nails. Never the less I thought you'd enjoy this quick tutorial. For this look I used: Sally Hansen Insta Grip Faat Dry Base Coat, Collection Hot Looks in colour 37 (Bongo Beats) and Mad Beauty Nail Varnish in a glittery red. You can customise your own any way you want but I put the top glitter on all of my nails cause I wanted them to match. Before looking I will say I am an addicted nail bitter so my nails aren't the best length. Started with bottom coat:  Then put on two coats of the green Then to finish I did one layer of red glitter on all of them. You could just paint glitter on your ring finger which is what I normally do but I though as its Christmas you can get away with a bit more glitz That is the finished product (it looks much better in real life but my camera wouldn't ...

Blogmas Day 13: How to: Best Christmas Biscuits

Image
Today my lovelies I bring to you my Best Christmas Biscuit Recipe. I modified this from  http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/863657/spiced-and-iced-christmas-trees. Well let us begin! You Will Need: 100g butter, chopped 175g dark muscovado sugar 85g golden syrup 350g plain flour, plus extra for dusting 1 tbsp ground ginger ¼ tsp ground cloves 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda 1 egg, beaten (Plus your choice of icing) The Steps: Gently melt the butter, muscovado sugar and syrup in a large pan until the sugar dissolves. Mix the flour, spices and ½ tsp salt.  Cool the butter mixture a little, then stir in the bicarb. Immediately add half the spiced flour and beat well. Add the egg and the rest of the spiced flour, then beat well again until the mixture comes together as a soft dough.  Tip onto a sheet of foil, flatten to a large disc, then cool and chill until firm (This took me 30 mins). Will freeze for up to 6 weeks. ...

Blogmas Day 12: Do they know its Christmas?

Image
Christmas Time, is a season of joy and celebration for many, it's an opportunity for people to spend time with their family and friends that they may not typically see. It seems everyone is drinking steaming beverages and gorgeous food and overall just enjoying themselves snuggled up by the fire. But none of this is possible for a lot of people. Last year there were 3'500 people sleeping rough in England and in the USA 1.49 million people were in shelters and 578'000 were on the streets. That means no christmas dinner, drinks or presents for hundreds of thousands in the world and in 2015 it was estimated 1.6 billion people (thats nearly a third of the population) don't have adequate housing. Now I know that for many of you it can be frightening to approach someone on the street or you don't think you can do anything about it. And thats fine, you don't NEED to. But the problem is that due to the worlds unsteady economy and controversial politics it would be so ...

Blogmas Day 11: Pinterest Christmas Outfits

Image
Today my lovelies I bring to you my favourite Pinterest outfit ideas for the winter/Christmas season. I have complied them into 3 sections; casual, party and pj...I feel like I should've used alliteration hang on...parenthetical (googled synonyms). Here are your parenthetical, party and PJ outfits for the season. Parenthetical: For the everyday https://uk.pinterest.com/pin/239042692695447481/  Cute, family friendly outfit, may be a bit boring for some bit I think it's sweet https://uk.pinterest.com/pin/337558934551184247/ The basic outfit everyone wears at Christmas but still manages to look chic on models. I'm sure you'll be wearing this anyway but it's always a great staple https://uk.pinterest.com/pin/343118065336628005/ This again is another outfit you'll see around this season but I absolutely loved the jumper and think the colour simply sums up winter and Christmas in one Party: Christmas parties are coming...

Blogmas Day 9: My Christmas (animal) jumpers

Image
Hello everybody, today I thought I'd share with you all the Christmas jumpers I have this year. I'm afraid none of them were bought this year but I'll still tell you where they were from so you can try and find them if you wish. Feel free to show me your ones and tell me which of mine are ypur favourite 1) Robin Jumper from George at Asda I think this is literally one of the cutest ones I have, and it so so soft! Literally putting this on is like slipping into a fluffy blanket (worst simile ever) 2) Christmas Penguin from Papaya in Matalan. This is probably my most Christmassy jumper (I know I need some new ones). This is also super fluffy but with the random sequins which add an added crunch! 3) Pura Moda Dalmation jumper. This is probably my least Christmassy jumper but I feel like it's perfect for a more formal situation (possibly a Christmas meal?) and the colour goes with pretty much anything 4) So I lied this is even less Christm...
